The United States Parkour Association held the organization’s first Town Hall Meeting on Monday, December 27th at 8:00pm EST. The Board of Directors provided updates to the public and USPK members on its progress as an organization. This town hall was held virtually to offer accessibility for our members across the US.

Detailed Updates

The purpose of the town hall is part of an ongoing effort to share the latest information, answer questions, and identify the needs, challenges, and opportunities of the US parkour community.

  • Brought on Adam Kozy as the executive director to help reshape the organization
  • Released COVID-19 guidance and recommendations for practitioners, business owners, and organizational leaders
  • Joined multiple organizations in an alliance under Parkour Earth
  • Shared editorials, resources, and tipsheets on diversity
  • Responding and acting upon the

High-level Summary

The new year will see efforts placed toward parkour advocacy, education, community, and governance.

  • Increase memberships for individuals and organizations including subsidizing for those impacted by COVID-19
  • Release industry standards for critical areas including competition, certifications, gym design-build, risk management, and park design
  • Ensure organizations and individuals teaching parkour have access to high quality, low-cost insurance
  • Expand committees, task forces, and communities to create resources that strike at the heart of USPK
  • Survey of financial performance and activities of parkour organizations around the country
  • Prepare the organizations for the first round of elections beginning in 2022

Community Workshops

Townhall participants broke into community workshops for the public to get involved, ask questions, and share their thoughts and opinions on the most important issues of parkour.

At the conclusion of each town hall, the Board of Directors provide participants with a brief overview of the next steps in the process including:
