UNITED STATES PARKOUR ASSOCIATION

CONSIDERATIONS FOR REOPENING

SAFELY OPERATING THROUGH COVID-19

2020 MAY 28TH – 09:15AM EDT

COVID-19 has been devastating to many parkour gyms and businesses. Most organizations have had to reorganize services and strategies in place for a disaster that would end up closing doors. As individual states begin to lift restrictions, trust and safety are more important than ever as we plan to reopen our businesses. What will a reopening look like for parkour coaches and managers? That’s the question being weighed heavily by parkour leaders striving to stay safe, return to work, and overcome the challenges of COVID-19.

Planning for reopening must begin now for new measures, requirements, and restrictions. The efforts of overcoming COVID-19 is going to require a concentrated and quick effort by parkour professionals and leaders across the nation. We’ve compiled the best practices and procedures to build the Considerations for Reopening guidebook – designed specifically for parkour gyms and organizations. The guidebook is organized into four sections: plan, prepare, educate, and additional resources.

The guidebook is intended only as a reference guide to spur discussion and action on reopening strategies. New information is coming out every day and we encourage you to check with and follow your local and federal authorities.
