- Be a Member in Good Standing: You must be a current USPK member who has fulfilled all requirements of individual membership.
- Be at Least 18 Years Old.
- Demonstrate Leadership: This can be shown through formal training or by participating in leadership roles within USPK (e.g., volunteering, committees) or in other organizations (e.g., nonprofit boards, community leadership).
- Be a Team Player: You must have a demonstrated ability and willingness to work effectively and collaboratively in a group.

- Understand Parkour: You should have a basic understanding of parkour and the current issues facing the community (or a willingness to learn and engage within the first year).
4. How to Become a Candidate (The Nomination Process)
To officially run for a position, you must submit a complete nomination packet by the deadline. A complete packet includes the following three items:
- Letter of Intent. Submit a formal letter (500 words maximum) that describes your leadership experience and explains why you want to serve on the USPK Board.
- Candidate Overview. Prepare a brief biography and vision statement for the membership (300 words maximum). This will be shared publicly with the voter ballot.
- Supporting Signatures. You must gather the signatures of three (3) USPK Full Members who support your nomination.
Step 1: Complete and Submit Your Main Nomination Packet
You, the candidate, will fill out the Nomination Form
This form will contain fields for the following:
- Your personal information
- Your Letter of Intent [see “Written Statement Information”]
- Your Candidate Overview (Biography and Vision Statement) [see “Written Statement Information”]
- A section where you will provide the full names of your three (3) USPK Full Member supporters
- Instructions for how your supporters will submit their signatures
Step 2: Have Your Supporters Submit Their Signature
To ensure your nomination packet is complete and verifiable, we are using a two-form submission process for the “3 supporting signatures” requirement..
After you submit your main form, you are responsible for contacting your three supporters and providing them with a special link to the “USPK Signature of Support” form.
What to tell your supporters:
- “Thank you for supporting my nomination! I will be needing 3 signatures of support from current USPK members. Please complete this brief form to provide your electronic signature. It’s a quick and easy process.”
- Provide them with the direct link to the signature form.
- Advise them that on the form, they will need to:
- Enter their full name and email address.
- Confirm their support for your nomination.
- Provide their electronic signature using the Jotform signature field.
Each of your three supporters must submit this form individually to fulfill the requirement.
Why we use this process: This two-step process creates a clear, verifiable, and official record of your supporters’ consent. Their independent submission of the signature form ensures that the signatures are genuine and legally valid, as they are providing the information and signature themselves, which aligns with the spirit of the election guide.
5. The Voting Process
Voting will be conducted securely and confidentially online through our partner, ElectionBuddy.
- On November 22, every eligible member will receive an email from ElectionBuddy containing a unique and secure link to the online ballot.
- You will be able to review all candidate profiles directly on the ballot before making your selection.
- The voting period will remain open until 11:59 PM PDT on December 22, 2025.
6. Your Election Committee
To ensure a fair and impartial process, this election is managed by the Governance Committee composed of current USPK board members. This committee is responsible for vetting candidates based on the bylaws and overseeing the election. Your 2025 Election Committee is:
- Ann Hoang
- Emily Fleet
- Cory Hollingsworth
